Small Town Girl Chasing Big City Dreams
My name is Jocelynn, but everyone calls me Poppy – it's a middle name. I grew up in small-town Texas and enjoyed my childhood very much. I was the youngest and probably most spoiled too! I am 23 years old, but sometimes I confuse myself for being 21 (that pandemic really messed up my calendar). But do you want to know something it didn't mess up? My education.
In 2020, I graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Economics Pre-Law. I will soon be pursuing a Master of Business Administration at Prairie View A&M University. But, for now, you will find me working at Baylor University; Sic 'em Bears! If you can't tell, I have a thing for higher education.

Parenting Inspiration
Shoutout to the single mamas out there! I am now in that elite and strong women group, but I never guessed it. In 2020, I experienced Covid-19, shutting down my senior year of college, "falling in love" during quarantine, and taking that fateful pregnancy test that changed my life forever.
There's no one I love more in the world than my son, and while
being a parent is my greatest source of pride, parenting is not easy. If you're a parent, you may mutter those exact words one day. However, one thing's forever true through all the ups and downs of parenting—there's nothing like seeing that big smile on your child's face to make it all worth it.
I am so grateful to have this platform to share bits and pieces of my motherhood journey, and I thank you for joining me on this magical ride.
